    2010 5K Sponsorship Opportunities

    Dear Rollingwood,As most of you know, Rollingwood has a 5K race every year or so (fundsbenefit Rollingwood parks and public areas).  This year the race is Friday,April 23 at 5:30 PM.   We have a limited number of sponsors who get theirnames on banners, the very cool and much-worn tee shirts, and of course adsand information in the race bags that reach so many  residents ofRollingwood and Westlake.  You KNOW we all love to support the   businessesthat support our community, so it’s a great way to reach an awesome  andloyal group of customers as well as to do good in your own neighborhood.After every single race many of our Rollingwood residents with their ownbusinesses come to us and ask why we didn’t call THEM, they reallywish they had known and could have participated.  We didn’t KNOW!  Wealways start with our list of previous sponsors and the response is alwaysexcellent, so by the time we can reach out to other businesses the spaces onthe tee  shirts and banners are filled up.The fact is, we want YOU, our ROLLINGWOOD residents’ businesses to havefirst dibs on the banners and tee shirts, so here’s your chance!If you are interested in sponsoring the Life is Good in the Wood 5K andgetting your business information in the race bag or your logo on the teeshirt and banners  (and of course the website), contact Laura Hirschfeld atlaura@h-consulting.com or call 619.9227.Price - SUPER reasonable considering what you get:

    • $500 (all taken, let us know NOW if you want this slot for next year)
    • $300 to get on the tee shirt (and race bag, have your name on a banner, logo on website when we receive your check)  Space is limited, first come first serve!  Don’t make it this year, put your name on the list for next year!  Some spots taken.
    • $100 to get in the race bag and have a banner with your name at a water stop, logo on website when we receive your check
    • $50 to get information and/or small token in the race bag (400).

    RWC Meeting Tuesday, Oct. 27th at 7pm.  At the home of Susan Jenkins, 405 Vale Street.  NOTE CHANGE IN LOCATION!!!!!!

    Here’s the topic, suggested by Susan Jenkins:

    It is Saturday night, you are driving home from a long, overdue dinner with girlfriends.

    You glance in your rearview mirror to see flashing red and blue lights…

    You are getting pulled over…

    That glass of wine (or two or…) you had with dinner flashes in your mind.

    What are you suppose to do when….

                the officer orders you to perform a field sobriety test;

                the officer requests to search your car; and

                the officer wants you to take a breath test.

    Come meet the experts, Corinne Sumpter and Kristi Couvillon,  and learn the answers to these and other “what to do when…” questions.  To learn more about these attorneys and their firm, please visit www.representingthegoodinpeople.com.
