RNA General Meeting: Thursday 1/28 @ 7pm

The Neighborhood Association is holding a general meeting on Thursday 1/28 @ 7pm in City Hall.  Everyone is invited.The agenda includes:

  • Easter Egg hunt planning and budget
  • Finding a chair for the April Candidate’s Forum
  • Nomination of new officers

The current officers have been sitting for over 3 years - it is time for new people to serve!

Purchase BBQ Tickets (Sunday 10/18, 4 to 6)

Tickets are will-call at the BBQ.  We order food based on ticket sales so it is essential that you pre-purchase your tickets!

One Peace At A Time

Austin based non-profits The Miracle Foundation and A Glimmer of Hope.  Also appearing: Nobel Peace laureate Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Physicist Steven Chu, (Secretary of Energy), Dr. Helene Gayle (CEO of CARE), and American legend Willie Nelson.

 

The film is produced by The Nobelity Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working for a more peaceful and sustainable world.

The Rollingwood Neighborhood Association and Women’s Club think this movie is so important and wonderful that everyone should be able to see it, so together we are underwriting the costs of bringing it to the people of Rollingwood. Please join us for this exclusive Rollingwood community screening to benefit The Nobelity Project and the

RNA Meeting 6/2 7PM @ City Hall

The Rollingwood Neighborhood Association (RNA) is having a general meeting on Tuesday 6/2 at 7 PM in City Hall.  This is a general meeting and all residents are encouraged to attend.The agenda will include:

  • Current finances and dues collection
  • Identifying chairs for upcoming events including National Night Out (NNO) and October-Que
  • Participating in “One Peace At A Time” screening with Rollingwood Women’s Club
  • Nomination of officers

Easter Egg Hunt on Sat 4/11 at 9:30 AM.

The hunt stars at 9:45 sharp! Don’t be late because your kids will miss out!  Really - don’t be late.  You don’t have any excuses - we’ll have coffee for you.

Entertainment at 10 including live music by Mr Johnny & Sharon, water balloons, Easter Bunny, and crafts.

Coffee by Trianon & Food by Randalls.

It’s on April 11th this year.  We have a date, now we just need a chairperson!

Gifts to City from RWC & RNA

At the 12/17 City Council meeting the Rollingwood Neighborhood Association (RNA) and Rollingwood Womens’ Club (RWC) presented their joint gift to the City.  This year’s gift is a public address system ($3,000) for meetings held in city hall.  This system makes it easier to hear conversations during meetings and also improves the quality of archival recordings.

In addition, the RWC presented a $10,000 gift to build shade structures for the lower playground.  Based on this gift, the City is also able to apply for matching funds Johnson & Johnson.

RNA Meeting 12/2 pushed to 8 PM

The Rollingwood Neighborhood Association will be meeting on Tuesday 12/2 at 8 PM in City Hall.  The agenda will be:

  • 2008 Gift to City - proposed to jointly fund a public address system for City Hall meetings
  • Recommendations for new officers

CHANGE NOTE: We are starting at 8 PM to accomodate a joint RCDC & Council meeting at 6 PM.   We may be delayed if that meeting runs long.
