1/31 deadline to be known all over town

If you live in Rollingwood then you’ll want to be listed in the 2008 Rollingwood Directory!  It’s an indispensable resource for cooks seeking eggs, finding lost pets, setting up play dates, and generally making the world a better place.

However,  these great benefits only accrue to those who act before 2/1!  Here’s what you need to do:

  1. If nothing has changed since 2005 for you, then you’re sitting pretty.  Don’t worry about it.
  2. Let RWC know if your information should be updated (or added) to the new directory.
  3. Let RWC know if you (gasp) should be deleted from the directory.

RWC will also list children who are seeking baby & pet sitting jobs.  Name, age, and job sought should be listed.

Deliver your updates IN WRITING to Lisa Serface @ 3304 Gentry Drive.

Sleepless from Seattle: Cats Found in Park

Apparently, the found cats were chipped by a shelter in Seattle.

From Tami Bone:

Brea and two friends found two injured cats today by the baseball field. Long story short, we took them to our vet, and he says that they look like they’ve been indoor pets. Do you know of anyone in our neighborhood who is missing two cats? One is white with black and brown spots, and the other is black. Very sweet cats, but not tags.

Please let me know if you remember seeing cats on your street or if you know of anyone who has cats that are missing.

Come help clean our creek! (2/17 @ 2 PM)

Join the fun! We’ve scheduled our ‘Clean the Creek’ event for Sunday, 2/17 from 2pm - 4pm.

Note: We’ve added a 12:30 group if you want to get an early start!

Meet at the creek bridge near the intersection of Bee Cave Road + Edgegrove. Keep Austin Beautiful (KAB)
will supply us with bags, gloves and other goodies to help get the job done.

Scout troops who join us will receive a ‘Clean the Creek’ badge AND one credit toward a ‘Patch Pals’ badge. And for more information about the ‘Patch Pals’ badge, visit

Please help spread the word to neighbors!
