Westlake Robotics Team selling robots to participate in national competition

The Westlake Chaps Robotics team recently qualified for Nationals at the FIRST Texas Lonestar Regional and has to raise $19,000 to participate.  EISD has been incredibly generous and agreed to pay for their registration and transportation fees, but the team needs to raise the remainder.

In addition to accepting donations, they are fundraising by selling of Hexbugs, multi-colored miniature robots created by Innovation First, for $10 each.  This are great toys and reasonably price.

They will have a table set-up at the 5k on Friday or you can contact RW resident, WHS Senior, and team captain, Natalie Craik at “gnat_gnat89[at]hotmail[dot]com.”
