Newsletter from 11/19
November 19, 2008 by president.
Hello Rollingwood,
There might be a chill in the air, but the Women’s Club Holiday Party (12/9) is always warm with friendship and food. Invitations are going out and you’re on the list!
If you can’t wait three weeks to get warmer, then attend TONIGHT’S (11/19) City Council meeting. If past meetings are any indication then it’s sure to generate some heat! Topics include the City’s upgraded web site, park Multi-Use Facility bids and naming, Water Committee report and recommendations, and much more! I can tell that you’re boiling over with enthusiasm - so don’t get cold feet.
Can you believe that I’ve been RNA President for 3 years? Neither can Laura! It’s time for me to stand aside and let another fine Rollingwood Citizen take the reigns. (Yes, I will still be around to support myRollingwood). We’re seeking nominations for officers at our next RNA meeting (tentatively 12/2) and also discussing our annual gift to the City.
Your Neighbor,
Rob Hirschfeld, RNA President

Letter from Mayor Dingley about RCDC: Parks, Water and Streets
November 19, 2008 by president.
Dear Neighbors;
RE: Rollingwood Community Development Corporation (RCDC): Parks, Water and Streets
I would like to share with all our residents some valuable information about the RCDC in its role as a source of revenue for the City and to hopefully clear up some misconceptions. The RCDC is a Texas “4B” Economic Development Corporation. It is funded by a half percent sales tax approved by voters in 2002. This sales tax is in addition to the one percent sales tax that supports the City’s general fund. The RCDC board is made up of residents of Rollingwood with the exception of two members. Buzzy Woodworth was a long time resident and is a home builder in Rollingwood who brings expertise in construction projects to the board. Vicky Rudy is our City Administrator and a Professional Certified Economic and Community Developer and has experience administering 4B funds. She is also the board member who has received 4B training that is required by state law.
